| Story in the Glass The Rose Window
shows King David with his harp. Music accompanied Jewish worship and celebrations.
King David was both poet and musician. As an example, his music calmed the
soul of King Saul (1 Sam16:14-23). So great was David's reputation as a hymn-writer
that many of the Psalms were attributed to him. Christ himself attributes Psalm 109
to him. David's lyre is an instrument that dates from at least 2400 B.C. |
