Story in the Glass

This triptych window depicts Venantius Fortunatus, who was a Sixth Century bishop in France. He is credited with writing many hymns which are still sung today, including Vexilla Regis, a favorite at the cathedral.  He is venerated as a saint in France and Italy; his feast day is December 14.

The royal banners go forward.

Story of the Glass

This window was created around 1940, probably manufactured by the O'Duggan studio of Boston.

The window is located in the south nave.
