window depicts Saint Magdalene, who became a follower of Jesus and has been the classic
example of the repentant sinner from earliest times. She came from Magdala on the
western shore of the Sea of Galilee. She had seven demons cast our of her by Jesus
and ministered to him in Galilee. Present at Calvary, she was the first to inform
the apostles that the tomb was empty. Jesus appeared to Mary Magdalene on Easter.
Her feast day is July 22. |
