Story in the Glass

This window depicts St. Edward the Confessor.  He was interested in religious affairs, and built St. Peter's Abbey, site of today's Westminster Abbey, where he is buried.  St. Edward died in 1066 and was canonized in 1161.  He was given the title Confessor because of his piety and devotion to the poor.

Blessed is the man who puts his trust in the Lord; he will be like a tree planted by the waters.  Jer 17:7

Story of the Glass

This window was created in 1880, probably manufactured by Thomas and John Morgan.  It was a gift of Rev. James Edward O'Brien

The window is located in the north nave.
