March 4, 2008 - 18th Annual Inner-City Scholarship Fund Dinner to Feature Peggy Noonan and Honor Jack Connors and the 2010 Committee

WHAT:
The Inner-City Scholarship Fund (ICSF) will host its 18th Annual Dinner Celebration, to thank donors and celebrate the more than $6.7 million raised to provide scholarships for needy students in Greater Boston.  The Carolyn and Peter Lynch Award will also be accepting by Jack Connors on behalf of the 2010 Strategic Planning Committee which has developed a new vision for the Catholic Schools in the Archdiocese of Boston; recently piloted with Trinity Catholic Academy in Brockton. Over 800 supporters of the Inner-City Scholarship Fund are expected to attend.

WHEN AND WHERE:Wednesday, March 5, 2008 Boston Marriott Copley6:00 p.m: Reception begins 6:50 p.m. Interviews and photo opportunities offered in the Falmouth Room with Ms. Noonan, Mr. Lynch, Mr. Connors, Ms. Etienne, Cardinal Seán, and Mr. Fish. 7:30 p.m: Dinner and program begins WHY:

The dinner is hosted by the Catholic Schools Foundation in honor of the Inner-City Scholarship Fund (ICSF).  The ICSF grants scholarship assistance annually to students attending primary or secondary Catholic schools in the Greater Boston area.  Scholarships are awarded to students based on financial need and without regard to race, religion, national origin or gender.  Last school year, over 5,500 children received financial aid through the Inner-City Scholarship Fund.

Since 1991, the Foundation's Inner-City Scholarship Fund (ICSF) has raised more than $59 million to benefit some 68,000 disadvantaged students in 58 inner-city schools.
