September 11, 2006 - Cardinal Seán O'Malley Kicks Off "Christ Speaks In the City"
Lunchtime Lectures for the Young Professionals in Boston

Brighton, MA - Cardinal Seán O'Malley will kick off the "Christ Speaks In The City" Lunchtime Lecture Series for young professionals in Boston this Wednesday, September 13 at the Old State House, located in the financial district, from 12:00 noon - 1:00 p.m. Wednesday's event, the first of four this year, is hosted by the Archdiocese of Boston Vocations Office.

"At each of these events, our main objective is to invite young professionals of Boston to gather and to ask the major questions for which Christ and His Church are the answer," said Vocations Director Fr. Dan Hennessey.

"Participants will have the opportunity to hear from noteworthy speakers, recognized for their extraordinary witness to the faith," added Assistant Vocations Director Fr. Michael Harrington. "In their own personal and professional lives, each speaker has asked major life questions and has found answers in Christ and His Church."

The "Christ Speaks In The City" Lunchtime Lecture Series is free to the public and each will consist of a half hour lecture followed by a half hour question and answer session. A light lunch will also be provided. The lectures will be held at the Old State House, 206 Washington Street, Boston, MA 02108. September 13, 2006 - Guest Speaker: His Eminence Seán Patrick Cardinal O'Malley Rebuild My Church: Witnessing to Christ.

October 11, 2006 - Guest Speaker: Andreas Widmer, CEO of OTF Group and former Pontifical Swiss Guard under Pope John Paul II. My Faith in Capitalism: Reflections of a bodyguard to Pope John Paul II.

November 8, 2006 - Guest Speaker: Sr. Olga Yaqob, M.V.M., Boston University Campus Minister. The Joys of Serving God's People in Iraq and America.

December 13, 2006 - Guest Speaker: Fr. Darin Colarusso, Newly Ordained Priest of the Archdiocese of Boston, former U.S. Air Force Navigator, flew jets over the Middle East for 12 years. Drawn by Truth: How the Search for Adventure led me to Christ.
