May 25, 2006 - Cardinal O’Malley To Ordain Five Priests

(Brighton, MA) … Cardinal Seán P. O’Malley will ordain five men to the priesthood this Saturday, May 27, 2005 at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross, 1400 Washington Street, Boston. The ordination Mass begins at 9:00 A.M.

Cardinal Seán said, “The Archdiocese of Boston welcomes these five outstanding individuals to the community of priests with great joy. We pray for their good health and look forward to their serving the Church community for many years guided by the Holy Spirit in their ministry.”

Boston Catholic Television (BCTV) will broadcast the entire Mass live from the Cathedral beginning at 9:00 A.M. BCTV Director Fr. Robert Reed will be providing commentary during the ordination for viewers. Following are the candidates for ordination. The Pilot, the official newspaper of the Archdiocese of Boston, will feature profiles of all the candidates in the Friday, May 26th issue.

Father Darin V. Colarusso is one of the three sons of Vincent and Josephine (Follo) Colarusso. He served with the United Air Force following his graduation from the Air Force Academy. Father Colarusso will be the principal celebrant and homilist of his First Mass at St. Anthony of Padua Church on Sunday, May 28, 2006 at 1:30 p.m.


Father William C. Palladino is the son of Eleanor (Pigaga) and the late William Palladino He is a graduate of New England College of Finance with an associate’s degree and has a bachelor’s degree from Emmanuel College. Father Palladino’s First Mass will be at noon on Sunday Mary 28, 2006 at St. Theresa of Avila Church, West Roxbury.
Father Ixon Chateau, a native of Haiti and is one of the two sons of Joseph and Esterilia (Exan) Chateau. Father Chateau will celebrate his First Solemn Mass at St. John the Evangelist Church, Cambridge on Sunday, May 28, 2006 at 5:00 p.m.

Father William N. Ventura, one of the two sons of William and the late Susan (Randall) Ventura. Father Ventura will celebrate his Fist Mass at St. Patrick Parish on Sunday May 28, 2006 at 3:00 p.m.

Father William S. Dunn is one of the four daughters and three sons of the late Robert and Isabel (Sutton) Dunn. A physician and the only member of this year’s Boston ordination class who is an alumnus of Blessed John XXIII National Seminary in Weston, Father Dunn will celebrate his First Mass at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Braintree on Sunday, May 28, 2006 at Noon.
