June 14, 2005 - Statement regarding St. Albert the Great
Parish
(Brighton, Massachusetts) June 14, 2005 - The Archdiocese of Boston today
released the following statement regarding St. Albert the Great Parish:
On March 31 Archbishop Sean announced his acceptance of the Meade-Eisner
Committee's recommendation that the decision to close St. Albert the Great
Parish in Weymouth should be reversed. Yesterday Archbishop Sean completed
the canonical process to accomplish this and appointed Rev. Laurence Borges
as pastor of St. Albert parish.
Fr. Borges will work with the parish community in determining a Mass schedule
and other aspects of parish life.
