of Boston Will Hold Special Collection This Weekend for Tsunamis Victims
(Boston, Ma)… December 30, 2004. The Archdiocese of Boston today
announced that Archbishop Sean O’Malley has asked all parishes
in the Archdiocese of Boston to hold a second collection during this
weekends Masses for the relief and support of the victims of this week’s
tragedy in Southeast Asia. All proceeds will be sent to Catholic Relief
Services to assist their programs and efforts in the countries impacted
by the massive tsunamis. Catholic Relief Services handles the international
disaster relief efforts on behalf of the US Catholic community.
