October 29, 2002 - Statement of Donna M. Morrissey, Spokeswoman, Archdiocese of Boston on meeting between Bishop Edyvean and Voice of the Faithful

Bishop Walter Edyvean, Vicar General and Moderator of the Curia for the Archdiocese of Boston held a third meeting with representatives of the Voice of the Faithful. Joining Bishop Edyvean were other representatives of the Archdiocese of Boston including two pastors. The discussion focused on the Voice of the Faithful's efforts to articulate their third goal with regard to change in the Church and the individual parish groups of the organization. The discussions were cordial and productive. Both the Archdiocese of Boston and the Voice of the Faithful look forward to continuing an open dialog.

Bishop Edyvean informed those present that His Eminence Cardinal Law would like to schedule a meeting with representatives of Voice of the Faithful. The Cardinal desires to have this meeting even before the ongoing conversations are concluded.
