The Archdiocese of Boston today reported to the appropriate law enforcement
authorities within the Commonwealth the names of priests against whom
there have been allegations involving the sexual abuse of children dating
back over the past forty years. The Archdiocese's investigation with respect
to this matter is ongoing. None of the individuals being reported is currently
in active service in the Archdiocese.
Today's action places these matters in the hands of law enforcement authorities.
The Archdiocese will continue to cooperate fully with the authorities.
