The Office for Child Advocacy, Implementation and Oversight
(current activities)

The Office for Child Advocacy, Implementation and Oversight will oversee the implementation of the safe environment programs instituted by the Archdiocese. The Office is also responsible for assessing the implementation of these Policies and Procedures and reporting the results to the Archbishop.

The Secretary of the Office for Child Advocacy, Implementation and Oversight is responsible for overseeing the safe environment programs in parishes, schools, and other archdiocesan institutions; coordinating the efforts of various archdiocesan offices relative to the policies and procedures for prevention and education; developing, distributing, and collecting instruments to assess the implementation of these Policies and Procedures and to make reports to the Archbishop and the USCCB; assisting the Review Board in the review of these Policies and Procedures; communicating with the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops and public authorities.

Implementation and Oversight Advisory Committee

The Implementation and Oversight Advisory Committee will assist the Secretary of the Office for Child Advocacy, Implementation and Oversight in his/her responsibilities, including: evaluating the efficacy of the archdiocesan prevention and education programs; developing future programs; developing partnerships with public and private professional groups and organizations; preparing periodic status reports for the Archbishop and annual reports to the USCCB; collaborating with the Review Board to review and revise these Policies and Procedures.”
